With this in mind, British content creator Megan Ellaby suggests three outfits for her children, Goldie, Gene and Marnie, based on what each of them – with their different ages and personalities – needs for everyday life. This back-to-school outfit is pure creative energy. Megan pairs a striped T-shirt featuring fun illustrations from 101 Dalmatians with brown jeans featuring star details on the back, a chunky jumper featuring a cat (who said cats and dogs don’t get on?), and a pair of practical, comfortable trainers ready for action. As mum puts it: “Goldie loves anything creative, and her style is sporty and a bit tomboyish.” So, she’ll absolutely love this school-start outfit! It’s expressive without being over the top, comfortable without being boring, and, of course, it’s made for a little girl who sees every day as an opportunity to create, imagine and explore.

Gene’s look

"He’s our wild child, so comfort is always at the forefront of my mind." Understandable, isn’t it? That’s why a blue and brown striped T-shirt, paired with barrel-fit jeans featuring an elasticated waistband and sporty details designed for running, climbing and exploring, creates the perfect look for dealing with his full-time mischief. It’s simple, modern and practical, and allows Gene to move around with complete freedom. According to Megan, clothes like a shirt or denim dungarees would restrict his movement right now, and for a free spirit like him, that’s non-negotiable!

Marnie’s look

"My baby is super cheeky and smiley." For her baby, Megan leans into comfort first, but never at the expense of personality. This look pairs a floral romper with a sweet Peter Pan collar and printed dungarees, creating the kind of joyful pattern clash she loves: playful, unexpected and full of charm.
