How do I care for my garments so they last longer?

Each garment requires different care depending on its type and material. These tips will help you keep them looking new for longer:

  • Cotton and linen: wash them inside out with cold or lukewarm water to prevent shrinkage and iron at a medium temperature to prevent shine.
  • Wool and knitwear: wash them by hand or on a delicate cycle with cold water, use mild detergent and dry them horizontally so they do not become deformed.
  • Jeans: wash them as little as possible, always inside out and with cold water to preserve their colour. Avoid tumble drying to help them maintain their shape.
  • Silk and lace: choose dry cleaning or a very gentle wash without spinning. Dry in the shade to prevent fading, and if they are very delicate garments, consider taking them to the dry cleaners.
  • Synthetics (polyester, nylon, etc.): wash them in short cycles with cold water and avoid ironing this material at high temperatures.
  • Faux leather: clean them with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not put them in the washing machine or dryer, and protect them from direct sunlight.
  • Natural leather: to extend their use, moisturise your leather garments with specific products, keep them away from moisture, and store them in a well-ventilated place.
  • Corduroy: wash your corduroy garments inside out with cold water and steam iron them to preserve their texture.

Remember that these are general guidelines. Always follow the label instructions of each garment to care for it as required.
