Wear it like Sarah Lysander

Our MANGO Girl proves that opposites attract with our August collection.

There's a particular kind of confidence in knowing exactly how far to push a trend, when to let it speak for itself and when to ground it with something timeless. Our MANGO Girl and content creator, Sarah Lysander, has built her signature around exactly that instinct, and it's precisely what makes her the perfect voice for our August collection, which lives in the space between softness and structure.

“I'd call it romantic with an edge,” she describes. “I took pieces that could feel quite precious — the lace, the embroidery, the statement jewellery — and paired them with things I'd already reach for anyway: straight-leg denim, a leather belt, boots. I love mixing feminine with a bit of edginess."

This same instinct for balance defines how she approaches structure. “If the top is soft and sheer, I'll style it with a straight jean and a proper leather belt so the silhouette doesn't disappear,” she explains. “If the piece is already structured, I'll keep everything around it soft — it reads as polished when the two are trading off, not competing for attention.”

The same logic applies to the collection's boldest statement pieces. “The key is balancing one statement piece with simple, timeless basics,” she notes. “A corset or a Napoleonic-inspired jacket paired with relaxed denim, tailored trousers or a simple white tee feels effortless rather than overstyled.”

Her final word on making it your own? “Don't put the whole look on at once. Pull one piece — the jacket, the bag, the boots — and drop it into something you already own and feel like yourself in. If it still feels like you with one new piece in the mix, add a second. It's important you feel like yourself!”
